Mobile Phone Wiki Reflection

This wiki really engaged my learning because there was so much new information to absorb, way s to use a mobile for digital pedagogy that reached some of the most remote areas for those who hunger for education. It made me appreciate ICT’s like never before and I felt privileged to be a part of this digital age, wanting to learn and grow in the ICT universe. As I watched some You Tube videos I was amazed on how much a mobile phone could do, its potential to equal laptop and notebook technologies. My hat was the intuitive one that is definitely where I always find myself, feeling my way through, that gut instinct can be pretty reliable with maturity. I enjoyed Edward de Bono’sTeach Your Child How to Think,’ through the ‘Six Thinking Hats’. The wiki covered all of the hats widely and the questioning provoked interesting outer conversation. As a learning tool it covered all the learning theories with their associated approaches, triggered behaviours of multiple hats were worn which was very amusing and a diverse selection of answers to debate. With further inquiry it could become quite the topic to add to future learning activities. My post shared that the opportunities are endless basically for learners to engage through mobile phones for learning, to liaise with the teachers and negotiate boundaries around this learning design. As a portable USB the shared collaborative learning can shift from basic word documents and readings, music and video projects, access information, a tool for conferencing, internet, university sites etc.  Check out these video’s.... ‘Education and the mobile phone’ ‘Cellphones in the classroom: learning tools for the 21st century.’
