Learning Theories Wiki Reflection

I valued this ICT because it gave me a virtual classroom, with fellow class mate Heleen to collaborate with and share learning theory insights and the workload of the activity. We organised a time to go on Vyew to express and record Pluses Minuses Interests points on Behaviourism. Vyew became a bit of a challenge because for some reason I was blocked out and unable to write my points and had to email them to Heleen and witness her writing happily in the lobby. The webcam worked well to utilise my visual Multiple Intelligence, though the built in microphone had horrible feedback. Alternatively the good old telephone with the convenience of speaker phone worked wonders.

As a result I felt a connectedness and a constructivism approach by having our different points of view on the PMI scaffold and sharing a virtual space that was just as much a learning experience for me than the learning context.

As a schema PMI is a great strategy to breakdown the effectiveness of learning context. To find out what knowledge is being retained, to observe the inner conversations of the learner, to question and to build on greater shared knowledge. These Intra Cognitive processes can expand further, when it becomes a joint venture, it creates stimuli to engage learning behaviour. This supports further development of learning theories by use of outer conversation and ICT’s, to bounce off other students and deepen understanding, linking subject matter as educational platform to assist long term memory function.  Being able to organise information for easier access, the Wiki supports these realities via eLearning to achieve real results that enhance the learning experience.
